Week of November 6th – Skillet Cider Apples (Available Friday, November 10th)

One of my favorite things is discovering the unexpected about something you thought you had all figured out…case in point are my Skillet Cider Apples. You may assume that these apples are just a sweet treat but you are mistaken. The granny smiths are caramelized with a touch of brown sugar but also apple cider and vinegar. The result is a sublime topping for roast pork tenderloin or chicken thighs. Want to head to the sweet side? Drop these golden gems on a warm waffle or buttered english muffin and drizzle with Vermont Maple Syrup. Or serve over greek yogurt with a sprinkle of granola for a grown-up version of Apple Crisp. Whatever your mood, savory or sweet…you are going to love these Skillet Cider Apples.
